Welcome to IMPACT 2004

Impact is an exciting programme of study support summer schools for over 120 primary schools across the West Midlands. The activities are targeted towards primary school children in greatest need and aim to encourage their creative and artistic skills and abilities.

47 Schools participated in the 2003 programme. During the summer schools they collected more than 6000 images of their creations and sent them to this website.

The 2004 summer school is happening in 42 schools accross the region It all kicks off in the first week of the summer holiday and you will be able to take a look at the photos from the schools in the Showcase.

The 2003 activites were a huge success involving 47 artists over 5 days to create 47 sculptural artworks which were installed in the school grounds for the start of the September term.

The project is being organised by the Directorate of Education and Lifelong Learning in Dudley in collaboration with all 14 West Midland Local Education Authorities and a wide range of other partners. Supported by the New Opportunities Fund.
